Hello, and welcome to the informative blog network on disabilities!

Here, you will find information about many disabilities and other challenges that are commonly faced by students in the education system. When a child presents with exceptional challenges, the greatest asset for helping them succeed is awareness and knowledge. This network is a concise repository of knowledge not only about the disabilities and challenges themselves, but also implications for a classroom where at least one student has the condition and advice for both parents and teachers. At the end of each section, there are several links that can be used as starting points for finding other information resources if further research is necessary. This network is not intended to be comprehensive - rather it provides brief and succient summaries of the major points and features of each disability, and invites further user-driven research. There is a dedicated page for each disability, grouped under one of three broad categories. All information contained within should be supplemented by the advice of a trained medical profession following a examination of the child. The information here is meant as a starting point, and the recommendations of professionals take precedence over anything stated in those pages.
